I'm Amy Cooper, I'm 19 and have spent the past 6 months studying and serving as a missionary with YWAM San Jose. This is a space for me to update friends and family as to what God was doing during this time, and for you all to be able to partner with what God is doing in missions, and in the nations!

On the 8th of January I flew to Latin America, to take part in a Discipleship Training School with YWAM San Jose (Youth With A Mission). YWAM are a global Christian Mission Organisation, dedicated to serving God across the world. Their passion is to know God and to make him known. YWAM has many bases across the world, but I am involved with their base in San Jose, Costa Rica. There is where I started my 6 month Discipleship Training School (DTS) which is split into 2 parts.

The first 3 months I spent in Costa Rica, during the "lecture phase". During this time I was involved in classroom teaching and local outreach. As a group, we learnt and grew together as we experienced and learnt more about God and his plan for the Nations. We learnt to step out of our comfort zone and live out as disciples of Jesus what we believe to be true!

And during the second 3 months, I was putting into practice everything from our first 3 months, in our "outreach phase". We served for a few weeks in different parts of Costa Rica, before flying to the Middle East to serve there. We have a heart to share the true love that we have experienced, with others. We are thankful to have had the opportunity to go and share our joy and hope, while serving others.
